Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the conduct or administration of a public health, health regulatory or human service related program; OR an Associate's and five years; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of general experience.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience in a quality improvement role. A Master’s degree in a related field. At least two years’ experience interacting and collaborating with clinical providers. At least two years' experience working with collaborative groups, learning networks, or provider groups in the community. Certification or completion of work with a nationally recognized QI organization.


The Program Coordinator is located in the AIDS Institute's NYC Office of the Medical Director (OMD). The incumbent will serve as a key member of the OMD in the New York City (NYC) Office and will be responsible for administration and oversight of the New York Links Regional Group in Long Island (LI) and other jurisdictions as assigned; representing the AIDS Institute in Long Island (and other jurisdictions as assigned) ending the epidemic efforts; assisting in administration of the NYS Quality of Care Program (NYSQOCP) by initiating and following through with Organizational Assessments in assigned jurisdictions, managing the OA review process and ensuring the annual OA process is on schedule, assisting with facilitation of the monthly Quality of Care meetings, providing guidance to quality coaches and to organizations participating in the NYS QOCP, serving as liaison with the DOH New York City Office, and attending and participating in the Quality of Care Advisory Committee; assisting NYLinks leads in the 5 boroughs with Quality Improvement technical assistance as needed; and other duties as assigned. 

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
