A Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an Associate's degree and two years of experience supporting administrative, financial, human resources, operations or other program activities; OR a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of such experience.
Masters of Library Science or Masters of Library Information Studies (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA Accredited college or university. Demonstrated experience working with an automated integrated library system, Inter library loan experience, experience in a health/science library, and archive experience.
The incumbent will serve as support staff to the Library Manager for the Department of Health, Wadsworth Center Dickerman Library; serving as one of the largest biomedical libraries in the Capital District. This position will assist in providing scientific resources to Wadsworth Center staff, Department of Health employees, students in the Masters of Science for Laboratory Sciences program and the School of Public Health. Specific duties will include working with library budget/billings/administration, assisting in Library IT services, performing collection maintenance, and assisting the Library Manager with the archive of historical agency materials. Other related duties as assigned.
