Associate’s degree in Biological Sciences; OR two years of experience performing tests and procedures in a laboratory or clinical setting.
Associate's degree and at least one year of research experience in a laboratory setting. Molecular biology and microbiology laboratory experience. Basic computer skills, e.g. use of internet, word processing software, spreadsheet software. Familiarity with Apple and PC platforms.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigators, the Laboratory Technician will assist in the execution of molecular biology experiments, primarily using mycobacteria and E. coli; assist in presenting and archiving data arising from those experiments; and contributing to general laboratory maintenance. Other related duties as assigned.
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
