Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of experience in research, analysis, and/or evaluation of health, human services-related programs or a related field; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience.
Doctoral degree in public health, epidemiology, or social and behavioral sciences. Experience with conducting evaluation research in drug user health, HIV/AIDS and/or HCV. Experience with survey development, administration and manipulation of large data sets. Experience with longitudinal study design. Project management and analytical skills, including advanced statistical techniques and sampling strategies. Knowledge and experience with confidentiality and human subjects protection in research studies. Experience with publication of study findings in peer-reviewed journals and preparation of abstracts/posters/oral presentations for professional conferences.
This position is located in the Office of Program Evaluation and Research (OPER) at the AIDS Institute. The incumbent will oversee the Evaluation of Community-based Drug User Health Hubs to Reduce Opioid Overdoses in New York State Project. The incumbent will develop and implement project work plan and study design, oversee data collection strategies, develop and administer surveys, conduct data analysis, and develop reports and manuscripts for publication. The incumbent will supervise staff. Other related duties as assigned.
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
