High school diploma or equivalent and two years of secretarial, administrative, or general office experience.
Proficiency using a variety of software including MS Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint) in the preparation of documents, graphs, slides, presentations and spreadsheets. Experience in arranging conferences, meetings, and travel. Experience with data entry and handling confidential information. Experience compiling training documents and handling post-course evaluations.
The incumbent will provide secretarial support to the Bureau's Central Office in Albany, NY. The incumbent will assist with preparing, revising, and formatting documents; answer telephone calls and triage calls to appropriate staff; schedule meetings and maintain electronic calendars; track and file correspondence; make appropriate travel arrangements; prepare purchase requisitions; arrange conference calls; data entry. The incumbent will work with MS Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint). The incumbent will perform general office duties that include filing, faxing, photocopying, mail delivery; other related duties.
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
