  • Minimum Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent and one year of general office, secretarial, or administrative experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with clerical functions, including filing, office procedures, and operation of office equipment. One year of full time clerical or secretarial experience in a health care setting. Data entry experience. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite and e-mail communication.


    The position is located within the HIV Uninsured Care Programs located in Albany.  The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute has established programs for HIV uninsured care(ADAP, ADAP Plus, APIC, and Home Care Program).  These programs are administered and operated to provide access to medical services and HIV medications for all uninsured or underinsured New York State residents with HIV/AIDS.  The functions of the HIV Uninsured Care Program are to determine eligibility of individuals seeking assistance, issue identification cards and reimburse enrolled providers for medical services and/or medications dispensed to enrolled participants. The incumbent will provide clerical support of the HIV Uninsured Care Programs, including but not limited to: data entry; filing; scanning; program support; and maintenance of forms. Other duties as assigned.

    Conditions of Employment

    Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
