Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of general office, administrative, or secretarial experience.

 

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an Executive Office, including but not limited to providing phone support/coverage & scheduling/calendar coordination
• Experience interacting professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress
• Fluency in two or more languages
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
• Experience using Microsoft Teams &/or SharePoint
• Experience maintaining tracking systems

Responsibilities

The Secretary I will provide administrative and secretarial support for the Center for Community Health (CCH) Executive Office CDC COVID-19 Health Disparities Program. Responsibilities will include: coordinating schedules and calendar; assisting with processing Executive Deputy Clearance (EDC’s), Internet/Publication Request Forms (IPR’s) and other formal correspondence/documents; and perform other secretarial related duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.


Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
